KNIA/KRLS Knoxville City Election Forum Set for October 25, In Pella October 27

KNIA/KRLS will be holding a Knoxville City Election Candidate Forum this year. The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, two weeks before Election Day. This year in Knoxville, there are three people running for mayor, and seven people running for three City Council seats. The mayoral candidates this year are incumbent Don Zoutte, and challengers James Elliott and Arnold St. Germain. For City Council, incumbents Carolyn Formanek, April Verwers, and Bob Wims are running again, as are Mike Groenendyk, Tim Pitt, Larry Steele, and JR Wales.

In Pella, the forum will take place October 27th in the auditorium at the Pella Community Center. The ballot includes current Council members Bruce Schiebout and James Mueller for Mayor. Gary Van Vark and Harold Van Stryland are running for the City Council in Ward Two, Larry J. Peterson in Ward Four and David Vander Horst is running for the at large seat.

The forums in both Pella and Knoxville begin at 7 pm.
