The Knoxville Boys Cross Country Squad and Girls Runner Alissa Van Klootwyk are a little more than five hours away from running the state cross country meet. The boys qualified as a team with a third place finish in the class three-A District while Van Klootwyk qualified with a fifth place finish at the Regional. Coach Mike Moats says getting out to a good start early is the key to the race. Moats says the dynamics of the race are far different than from any race in the regular season. He says there will be ten times as many runners than a normal cross country meet so getting off to a good start will be key.
