A Knoxville man has been charged with 2nd degree robbery after attempting to hold up a bank Friday morning. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada says that 57-year-old Johnny Bruce Wallace was arrested after he allegedly walked into Valley Bank with a cloth over his hand, pointed it at tellers, and told them that this was a “stickup” and demanded money. Losada says that Wallace fled without receiving any money, and that police tracked him down a short while later. When Wallace was arrested, Losada says no weapon was found. No one was hurt during the incident.
