The Marion County Democrats have received a $1000 grant from the Iowa Democratic Party. The County Partnership Program Grant is to be used for advertisement and community building. Marion County Democrats plan on using the money for advertisements in local media and to promote their website and Facebook page, as well as to introduce Congressman Dave Loebsack at two meet and greet events in Knoxville and Pella on October 22. The grant was prepared by Cathy Haustein, Phyllis Weeks, and Anita Martin.
