The Melcher-Dallas Football Squad is 7-0 after Friday’s win over Moravia that put the Saints in first place in Eight-Man District 5. This is the best start for a Saints football team since the 1994 also started 7-0. Coach Ryan Conrad said even before the season began, his players had a goal of making this a special season. Melcher-Dallas will try to keep its perfect season alive as the Saints travel to Meskwaki Settlement School near Tama. Melcher-Dallas has all but clinched a playoff berth and would clinch at least a share of the district title and likely number one seed in the playoffs with a win Friday.
