The Little Hawkeye Conference cross country meet takes place tomorrow, and the teams from Pella High and Pella Christian have been making their final preparations to take on a strong field of competitors.

Pella head coach Doug Cutler says runners from Knoxville and Grinnell continue to push his athletes to run faster times, and is hopeful the team can continue to build upon the steady progress they’ve made in recent weeks.

Jocelyn Meinders, head coach at Pella Christian, says while the strength and size of the other teams in the Little Hawkeye Conference will make it a challenge to compete in the team standings, she is hopeful that her teams will continue to find ways to push each other and display the mental toughness they’ll need to be successful in the postseason.

The Little Hawkeye Conference meet begins tomorrow afternoon in Norwalk.
