A bumpy ride for the Pella volleyball team has featured a few less potholes as of late, as the Lady Dutch have been making steady improvement in a pair of weekend tournaments, with a Little Hawkeye Conference victory sandwiched in between.

For head coach Bob Fessler, the progress has been an important indication of a more focused and mentally tough team entering the final matches of the regular season. Fessler says he has seen plenty of good volleyball played by his team in practice, and see’s them just beginning to turn the corner in applying that to competition against other teams.

The Pella volleyball team is 8-16 overall, and will host Norwalk on Thursday in their final home match of the season.
