Solon’s size and strong hitting were too much for Knoxville last night in the Class three-A Regional Volleyball Semi-Final as the number two ranked Spartans won in three sets 25-8, 25-8 and 25-14.
Solon averages six feet in height on the front line and used aggressive play at the net to get the win. Panthers’ Coach Eric Fee gave credit to Solon for not letting Knoxville get into any rhythm.
Jess Jones had six kills for Knoxville while Amber Klootwyk was five-for-five serving. Knoxville finishes at 17-and-20 on the season.
