While her Missouri teammates play the fall portion of their season, Pleasantville Native Chelsea Thomas is less than a week from her biggest international competition as she the rest of the U-S-A National Softball Squad prepare for the Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico starting this Friday. Thomas who led Missouri to back-to-back Women’s College Series last summer was selected to the U-S-A National team and helped the Americans to a runner-up finish in a tournament in Canada and won the Gold Medal at the World Cup of Softball in July. Team U-S-A has dominated the Pan Am games in their first entry in 1979 winning the last seven gold medals and posting a 78-and-three record.
