Five members of the Central College soccer programs were recently awarded All-Iowa Conference honors. All of Central’s selections were for the Second Team, with the men’s squad garnering three nominations and the women gaining two.

Defender Garrett Fooshee, and midfielders Daniel Peacock and Jonathan Schroeder were each recognized as second-teamers, while three more teammates – Matt Woodcock, Leland Schipper and K.J. McQuerrey – received Honorable Mention nods for the Central men.

For the women, forward Alayna Bailey and defender Hannah Davy were second-team selections, with midfielder Gabbi Muse garnering Honorable Mention for the Dutch.

The Central men’s soccer team went 10-8-1 this past season, finishing fifth in the Iowa Conference, while the women posted the program’s third-best record at 10-7-1, placing sixth in the league race.
