Outstanding freshman Eli Horton has become the first member of the Central College men’s cross country program to earn a slot in the NCAA Division III Championships since 2006. Horton received the official invite yesterday afternoon after a solid tenth-place showing at the NCAA Central Regional Meet on Saturday.

He’ll be part of the 280-runner field this coming Saturday in Winneconne, Wisconsin. If Horton can finish in the top 35 on Saturday, he’ll earn All-America status.
