The Marion County Emergency Management Office has a new tool to help them prepare for emergencies. The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of a SMART whiteboard at Monday’s meeting. Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson says that the whiteboard can hook up to a computer, and anything that is written on the whiteboard will be saved on the computer. Anderson says that the board will come in handy during training for presentations, taking notes, and a multitude of other uses. The board was purchased through 2009 Homeland Security Grant Funds.
