One thing that new P-C-M Girls Basketball Coach Bret Grier and his staff are doing early on in practice this season is figuring out how his young team reacts to shooting under pressure. He says the girls can shoot by themselves as long as they want, but when it comes to game situations, are they going to still make those shots. He says a lot of time is spent on taking shots while being guarded. He adds defense is also an emphasis in practice as they are trying to install a defense that keeps the lane closed so P-C-M can have a better chance at getting more rebounds.
