Central College opened the 2011 wrestling season Saturday with ten placewinners in the Knox Invitational in Illinois. Junior Joseph Atwell was Central’s highest finisher, claiming a runner-up finish at 157 pounds. The Dutch also got third-place finishes from top-seeded Greg Barner at 184 pounds and 125-pounder Bryan Connolly.

Twelve schools competed at the tournament, which kept no team scores. The Central College wrestling team opens its dual meet season at Wheaton tomorrow.
