A clash of unbeaten teams separated by only 40 miles is all the buzz in southern Jasper County, as PCM prepares for a Class 2A Quarterfinal showdown with West Marshall Monday night.

A number of athletes on each of these teams should be very familiar with this scenario.  This past February, PCM earned a trip to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines for the State Basketball Tournament with a 33-31 win over West Marshall in the Substate Finals.  Now the Mustangs will try an earn a trip to another coveted venue:  the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls for the Class 2A Semifinals.

PCM head football coach Greg Bonnett says the two teams share a number of similarities, including dazzling playmakers, potent offensive units and stingy defenses; adding that he expects a very exciting game Monday night.

You can hear live coverage of the game between PCM and West Marshall on kniakrls.com with David Hecht and Mark Amadeo providing the coverage, starting at 6:30 p.m. Monday night.
