The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad returns just two seniors from last season’s team. Ellie Hawkshead…who is the starting post player and Hanna Rosenkranz, who scored 17 points in the Panthers’ loss to Perry on Tuesday. The rest of the team is made up of a mix of one freshman, two sophomores, and seven juniors. Coach Jim Utiermarkt says the juniors are the ones with the least experience, but he hopes they can improve and help the team as the season keeps going. Utiermarkt is confident the offense and defense will improve as the season continues. Knoxville plays its home opener Tuesday night against Albia.
