A better overall effort by the Knoxville girls basketball team still could not yield a win, as the Panthers fell to Davis County 40-29 last night 40-29.

Coach Jim Utiermarkt said the girls were able to run the offense better last night and played better on defense, despite being short-handed with three starters either unable to play due to illness or injury.

Hanna Rosenkranz led the Panthers with 11 points. Knoxville is now 0-4 on the season and is off until next Friday then they host Pella.
