A strong defensive effort and a balanced offensive attack combined to give the Central College men’s basketball team a 67-52 Iowa Conference victory at Cornell College on Saturday.  A 17-5 run in the first half gave Central command of the game, while the Dutch defense limited Cornell to 37 percent shooting from the field. 

Chris Lehmann led the Dutch in scoring with 12 points and collected six rebounds; and Demarco Turner and Jacob Winkler each added 11 points.   

The win has the Central men off to a 5-1 overall start and a 2-0 mark in league play.  The Dutch host Coe College Wednesday night.
