Knoxville’s best effort of the season still was not enough, as the Panther boys fell to Davis County last night 60-47.

The Panthers held a 36-27 lead rougly a minute into the third quarter before the Mustangs ripped off a 33-11 run to close the game. Knoxville Coach Jeff Larson said, simply put, shots were not falling and Knoxville gave up too many second chance points.

For the second straight night, Ryan Douglas led the Panthers with 11 points, while Erik Ryan had ten. The Panthers also struggled from the free-throw line, going just 3-of-9 on the night.

Knoxville is off until next Friday when the Panthers host Pella. Knoxville in now 0-3 on the season.
