Of the 14 girls and boys basketball teams covered by KNIA/KRLS this season, only one is off to a perfect start:  the Pleasantville boys.  Of the eight victories for the Trojans, only one opponent – Chariton – was even within single digits when the final buzzer sounded.  

While Hunter Van Haalen and Colin Thomas have been the team’s leading scorers, Pleasantville head coach Tom Wilkins says it has been the improved play of his backcourt that has made his team more well-rounded and harder to defend.  

The Trojans return to action with four straight home games in January, starting with Nodaway Valley.
