The PCM girls basketball team is off to a fast start to the season, and junior Kelsey Townsend has played a key role in the Mustangs’ success early on. Townsend has averaged nearly 15 points per contest, and put in a game high 17 points in Friday’s 44-39 win over Jefferson-Scranton.

PCM head coach Bret Grier says Townsend’s energy and physical strength on the floor have been great improvements for her as an individual and for the team as a whole. The PCM girls are 4-1 overall and return to competition this evening at South Hamilton.
