The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad ran into a runaway train last night as Grinnell jumped out to a 20 point lead at the break and defeated the Panthers 68-27. Knoxville was limited to just six points in the second half due in large part to Grinnell’s suffocating defense. Coach Jeff Larson said Grinnell shot well, and Knoxville had too many defensive break downs. Knoxville was led by Bryant McWilliams with eight points. The Panthers are now 1-7 on the season and 0-3 in the conference. Knoxville will also practice tonight and tomorrow night, then take some time to recharge over Christmas. The Panthers’ next game is January sixth against Oskaloosa.
