Averaging around 30 points per game…one may think the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad is working on offense this week in preparation for their game Friday night with Pella. Coach Jim Utiermarkt says defense is the main point of emphasis in practice. Utiermarkt says the girls have given up 49 points per game so far this season. He says the main thing that needs work is transition defense. He adds practice this week will go a long way to determine how much the transition defense has improved. Knoxville is off until Friday when the Panthers host Pella in their Little Hawkeye Conference opener.
