Though they’re still searching for their first win of the season, a 65-55 overtime loss for the Melcher-Dallas boys basketball team just before the Christmas break showed that the Saints are getting closer to a victory.

Saints head coach Jim Wells says his team has yet to put together a complete performance on a given night.

“I keep telling the, it’s not always about the wins or losses, it’s how we’re playing the game. We need to get four good quarters, and we’re still only getting a couple of good quarters,” said Wells.

“Hopefully after break we can come out and get four quarters in where we do good things and cut down on turnovers, run our offense like we’re supposed to and create good opportunities.”

The Melcher-Dallas boys aim to chase down that first victory on January 3rd, when they take on Seymour.
