A long bus ride to Southwest Iowa netted a win and a loss for the Pleasantville basketball teams last night.

The No.2-ranked Bulldogs were too much for the Trojan girls, as Bedford claimed a 65-33 win. Pleasantville’s boys, meanwhile, continued to run roughshod through the Pride of Iowa Conference, ripping Bedford 53-17.

The loss drops the Pleasantville girls to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play, while the Trojan boys are have won all seven of their games, including five league contests.

Both teams will continue Pride of Iowa Conference play in Leon against Central Decatur on Tuesday.
