IN DEPTH: Teaching Kids to Save

We all want the very best for our children and grandchildren. Part of what is best for them is teaching them how to save money and ultimately make good investments. I spoke with Steve Fopma, Rosie Debruin and Judy Jenison, with Leighton State Bank, Pella and Leighton and they shared some great ideas with me.

I think that every parent and grandparent will enjoy listening to what they have to share.

IN THE PAST TWENTY FOUR HOURS THE MARION COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO TWENTY NINE CALLS FOR SERVICE INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, EIGHT EXTRA PATROLS, FOUR WELFARE CHECKS, ONE ANIMAL CARCASS, ONE SUSPICIOUS PERSON, ONE HARASSMENT, ONE DEBRIS IN THE ROADWAY, ONE ACCIDENT, TWO RETURN PHONE CALLS, ONE LIVESTOCK IN THE ROADWAY, THREE ATTEMPTS AT PAPER SERVICE, TWO MOTORIST ASSISTS, ONE ESCORT, AND THREE OTHER CALLS FOR SERVICE.
