PCM hosted North Polk last night for a pair of competitive Heart of Iowa Conference games and ended up splitting with the Comets.

The PCM girls struggled to find their offense in the opener, as they fell 37-25 to North Polk. The loss drops the Mustangs to 6-4 overall and 4-4 in the Heart of Iowa Conference.

The boys game was also relatively low-scoring, as Scott Bruxvoort’s 23 points led PCM to a 55-45 win over the Comets. Bruxvoort got support on offense from Jordan Van Roekel – who scored 12 – and 10 more points from Sean O’Connor.

The win improves the PCM boys to 7-2 on the season and 5-1 in conference play.
