At 3-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, the Pella girls basketball team has submitted their name as a strong candidate to finish the season atop the league standings.  Lady Dutch head coach Jerod Garland says Pella Christian has established himself as the conference favorite so far, but says a league title is something his team is ready to go after.

“We hope to [win the conference title], and these girls definitely have the work ethic and the attitude to do it.  PC’s a very strong team.  I’ve seen them a couple of times, and they impress me each time I see them with the different things they do,” said Garland.  “It’s going to take a great effort, and it’s going to take some really great basketball to do it, but I’m excited for the chance.”

The Pella girls entered the holiday break as winners of their last five games, and resume play on January 3rd with a home contest against Oskaloosa.
