According to Bonnie Verberg, director of the Vermeer Mill, children should put thier wooden shoes by the door, and leave some carrots for Sinterklaas’ horse. If they are good children, Sinterklaas might leave them some chocolates, if however, the children are poorly behaved there are other not so positive consequences. Verberg also said that it’s traditional for people to give each other practical joke gifts for Sinterklaas day.
