Shortly before 10am Wednesday the Pella Police Department received a 911 call reporting that a suicidal male was sitting in his vehicle armed with a rifle on Park Lane in Pella. The Pella Police Department responded to the scene, and a 40-year old male was transported to Pella Regional Health Center by Pella Community Ambulance for mental health evaluation. The Department believes that at no time was the general public in danger. The Marion County Sheriff’s office assisted with the call.
