Center Collin Thomas overwhelmed Chariton last night, leading the Pleasantville boys basketball team to a 67-63 win. The Trojans trailed by one point with just seconds remaining in the game, but a score on an in-bounds pass to Thomas, followed by a steal and another basket allowed Pleasantville to steal the game away.

Thomas finished with a game-high 31 points and 16 rebounds, with teammate Hunter Van Haalen pouring in 18 points as well. The victory has the Pleasantville boys off to a 2-0 start, with both wins over 3A opponents. The Trojans face Central Decatur tonight.
