The Knoxville boys Basketball Squad was a frigid as the recent temperatures in Marion County as they fell to Chariton last night 50-46. Neither team shot the ball well as the Chargers only held a 21/16 lead at the half. Free throw shooting kept the Panthers in the games as they went 20/28 from the line, but poor shooting down the stretch and too many turnovers kept Knoxville from victory. The Panthers has a chance to win in the late stages, however miss opportunities doomed them. Gerritt Davis led all scorers with 18 points as Knoxville falls to 1-13 on the season and will stay with the South Central Conference opponents with a trip to Albia on Tuesday.
