Pressure defense and likely a little more to the night than normal propelled the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad to their season win of the season as the Panthers controlled the games from the outset and beat Chariton 50-34. Last night was Coaches vs. Cancer night and the all-day event was capped off with a girls and boys game against the Chargers. Knoxville wore pink uniforms and jumped on top at halftime by ten by playing pressure defense and not letting Chariton so anything offensively. Knoxville would build the lead to as much as 19 before settling for the 16 point win. Meredith Cunningham and Hanna Rosenkranz shared high point honors with 11 each. Knoxville is now 2-13 on the season and will be off until Friday when the Panthers host Grinnell.
