The Knoxville Wresting Squad finished third at the Fairfield Meet Saturday with a total of 126.5 points. The Panthers were the highest finishing Little Hawkeye Conference team in the tournament. Knoxville finished behind champion Burlington and runner-up Eddyville-Blakesburg. Knoxville’s Lane Colwell was runner-up at 145 pounds while Tyler Chatterton 152 and Aaron Crossett at 182 pounds was third. Coach Ron Peterson said it was not their best day of wrestling, but all-in-all with the competition they were against, it was a good gauge for the upcoming districts. The Panthers have a rare Tuesday night meet this week when they visit Pleasantville and take on the host Trojans, Carlisle, and highly ranked Martensdale St. Mary’s in a quad meet.
