It takes a special kind of person to fully dedicate themselves to academics and athletics at the collegiate level, but to incorporate a passion for serving others into an already heavy workload is truly impressive.

Though humble about his accomplishments and efforts, Central College senior Cory Nikkel earned some much-deserved recognition for the example he sets for other student athletes by being honored as a member of the Allstate “Good Works Team” during last week’s Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana.

KNIA/KRLS Sports Director Eric Gotschall caught up with the Pella Christian alum after he returned from his trip to ask about the experience and find out more about his passion for service and sports.
