No major discrepancies were reported by the State Auditor’s Office during their annual audit of the City of Knoxville. Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart says overall, the money is being spent where it should be and there appear to be no issues. Stewart notes that the state did have concerns about Emergency Management Services billing. The City began using an outside service for that billing at the end of last year, so those concerns have been alleviated. Overall, the City’s receipts totaled about $15.2 million in fiscal year 2011, and their disbursements totaled around $13.3 million.
