[simage=6956,max,n,center,]The official unemployment numbers for December in Iowa have been released. According to Iowa Workforce Development the unemployment rate statewide went down to a seasonally adjusted 5.6 percent, from 5.7 percent in November statewide. The unemployment level in the state is the lowest its been since June of 2009. In Marion County the unemployment level rose from a non-seasonally adjusted 4.9 percent to 5.5 percent. Iowa’s unemployment rate is about 3 percent lower then the national number of 8.5 percent.
