The combination of good defense and shooting that may have been thrown off by the holiday break led to a low-scoring, but exciting game between the Pella High and Oskaloosa girls last night, with the Indians claiming a 38-36 overtime win.  Four points was the largest lead for either team throughout the hard-fought contest.

Pella’s Regan Cooper put in another big night for the Lady Dutch with 15 points and 17 rebounds, while Madeline Meyer added 10 points.  Oskaloosa was led by Kenzie Gott with 11.  The loss drops the Pella girls to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.  They’ll face Grinnell in Pella next Tuesday.
