The Pella Christian boys basketball team put an end to a small losing skid last night, winning a 61-42 non-conference game in Gilbert.

Up just two points by halftime, the Eagles ratcheted up the defensive intensity to steadily pull away over the final two quarters. Dan Hessing and Austin Ver Meer each had 15 points in the victory to lead Pella Christian in scoring.

The Eagles are now 9-6 overall on the season, and will return to conference play on Tuesday at Newton.
