Pleasantville’s basketball teams returned from Afton last night with a pair of wins in tow, as Trojan girls bested East Union 40-31, and the boys followed suit with a 70-36 beatdown.

The girls’ game saw Jordan Vandekamp lead the way for the Trojans, as she scored 11 points in a balanced night offensively. The Pleasantville girls are now 4-11 overall and improve to 3-8 in the Pride of Iowa Conference.

Hunter Van Haalen put up 16 points and Collin Thomas chipped in 13 points to lead the Pleasantville boys in their 34-point rout in the second game of the varsity twinbill. The win pushes the Trojans to 13-2 overall and 9-2 against league foes.
