The Pella Christian girls basketball team gets a preview of a potential Regional Tournament match-up today in a match-up with Eddyville-Blakesburg. The Rockets are 8-8 overall this season, but boast a skilled offense that Pella Christian head coach Kevin Van Maanen says will challenge his team’s defense.

“I’m looking forward to going down there and seeing how the girls respond today, and how well they come out and play. We had three days of rest, so I want to see how much energy we have on the court and if we can just get better,” said Van Maanen. “We’re playing a very good Eddyville-[Blakesburg] team, so it should be a very, very fun game to watch.”

The Pella Christian girls carry a 13-2 overall record into this afternoon’s non-conference tilt. The varsity game is set to tip-off around 4:30 p.m. at Eddyville-Blakesburg High School.
