Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz doesn’t think the counting discrepancies during the Iowa caucuses will hurt the state’s first-in-the-nation status. Schultz visited Knoxville Wednesday as part of a pro-business Legislative tour. Schultz says that he loves the caucus process, adding that the state handles it very well. He notes that though he doesn’t oversee the caucus, he sees it as part of his job to defend the process. Iowa Republican Party Chair Matt Strawn oversees the Republican caucuses state-wide. Schultz also spent part of Wednesday at meetings in Pella.
