Three Area Wrestlers Stand on the Podium on Final Day of State Meet

Three area wrestlers ended their state meet on the podium Saturday at the 87th edition of the Iowa State High School Wrestling Tournament. Knoxville’s Jay Fresh lost his class 3A 113 pound seventh place match to Bryce Steiert of Waverly-Shell Rock in a 4-2 decision. Fresh will finish his career at Knoxville in eighth place at the 2012 State Meet. PCM had two grapplers make the medal stand during the awards ceremonies. Dalton Kingery took fifth place at 126 pound in Class 2A over Douglas Perrin of Osage with a 6-4 decision in overtime. Jake Tool lost his seventh place bout with Gable Bonner of Estherville-Lincoln Central to claim eighth place.
