[simage=5136,200,y,left] Opening statements were heard Wednesday morning in the Terry Cobbins, Jr trial. The 32-year-old Des Moines man is accused of killing Theresa Miller in January 2011. Miller’s husband, 43-year-old Michael Miller, of Knoxville, allegedly paid Cobbins to commit the crime so he could be with another woman. Marion County Attorney Ed Bull told the jury that the evidence would outline how the murder was planned and what occurred the morning of Theresa’s death. The defense said that though the evidence may connect Cobbins to Michael Miller, it’ll not be able to prove Cobbins actually committed the crime.
