A 20-0 run to close out the first half propelled Des Moines Christian to a 67-42 win over Pleasantville in the first round of the Class 2A girls regional Saturday night in Urbandale. The Trojanns and the Lions traded the lead back and forth in the first quarter with Des Moines Christian holding a 14-13 lead. After that…the Lions would outscore the Trojanns 53-29 the rest of the way. Coach Trevor Miller says the start was what he was wanting. However, after that Miller said his team turned the ball over way too many times, and panicked when Des Moines Christian threw on its full court press. Kennedy Core led the Trojans with 15 points. Pleasantville finishes the season with a 6-16 record.
