With the final football game of the season this weekend, people will be throwing parties. Diane Pettit, a Dietitian at Pella Regional Health Center says that these parties are actually the final event in the holiday eating cycle. She says that instead of filling up on only the traditional party foods, people should try and fill half of each plate with less calorie intense snacks. Another thing that she says can help keep people from overloading on food is to simply be more social, talking will slow down your rate of food consumption.
