Tuesday is Valentine’s Day, and people will be making romantic gestures, offering their hearts to others. February 14th is also Organ Donor Day. Chaplin Phil Schrauben at Pella Regional Health Center, tells KNIA/KRLS News that there are about 113,000 people waiting on the organ donor list right now. He says that many people wish to donate their organs at the end of life, however Chaplin Schrauben says that having the the endorsement on their drivers license isn’t enough, the only way to be sure that your wishes will be followed is to make sure you are on the Iowa Donor Registry List.
