Knoxville lost both boys and girls games to Oskaloosa last night. The girls were down 19-4 at the end of one quarter and never were able to mount a comeback in a 52-21 loss to the Indians. Meredith Cunningham had nine points to lead Knoxville who falls to 3-14 on the season and 1-8 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The boys fell 61-46 and were down early by 17 points in the first half but stormed back to within seven in the third quarter. However Oskaloosa would go on a ten/nothing run to put the game away. Panthers Coach Jeff Larson said the halftime speech was all about just staying in the game and keep chipping away at the lead. Bryant McWilliams led Knoxville with 11 points and Chase Higgenbotham getting his first career start scored ten. Knoxville is now 1-16 on the season and 0-9 in the conference with Newton coming to Knoxville on Friday.
