Knoxville City Staff will soon be presenting a balanced budget to the City Council. City Manager Harold Stewart says he expects that budget to be brought up for the Council’s approval in a special session next Monday. Stewart tells KNIA/KRLS News that they have to trim about $335,000 from their initial estimates. That’s not an alarming number, however, as it includes a lot of best-case scenarios in proposals from City staff. Stewart says that that was done to help spark some ideas in what can be done to improve city services. This week, however, Stewart says they’ll work to make it a little more realistic.
