Knoxville will be one of eight host sites for the class three-A wrestling District today. The Panthers along with Marion County Rival Pella and in addition to Norwalk, Newton, Ankeny, Des Moines East, Indianola, and nationally ranked Southeast Polk will vie for 28 individual spots for the state meet next week. Knoxville Coach Ron Peterson says his team has a chance to get some guys to Wells Fargo arena next week. He says Southeast Polk is the overwhelming favorite to win the team title. Peterson adds the Rams may make it tougher to get a large number to state because they may qualify 16-to-18 spots. The District gets underway today at noon at Knoxville High School.
